Two labourers died of asphyxiation while cleaning a septic tank at an under-construction residential building in Rohini’s Prem Nagar area on Tuesday afternoon.
Three other labourers who entered the septic tank to save the two men fainted but were rescued by locals and other labourers. They have been admitted at the Sanjay Gandhi hospital.
“The two deceaed men have been identified as Ganesh Saha (35), Deepak Lambu (30). The other three have been identified as Rambir (37), Sher Singh (40), Babloo (40).
All five are said to be residents of Bhagya Vihar in Prem Nagar,” DCP Rohini SD Mishra said.
DCP Mishra said that the police has registered a case against the building owner.
